Academy oration 2006 was held on 5th sept. 2006. The orator of the event was Prof. Dr S K Mishra sir, Incharge of telemedicine unit and prof. and head of endocrine surgery SGPGI Lucknow. Dr Mishra talked on “Telemedicine : Unfolding miracle in Cyber age”. The event was presided by the Acting Dean , Dr Jyotiben S Deokule and chaired by Dr G.M.Kanvinde and Dr varshaben Patel.The chief guests were Mr Shree I K Gautam sir IAS Commissioner AMC Ahmedabad and Dr Amarjeet Shingh IAS Sachiva shree Health and medical Education Gujarat Government. The Guests of Honour were Dr B S Bhatia sir, Director DECU and Mr A K Sangal sir Group Director ISRO Ahmedabad . The event were graced by Dr Chandralekha Dean , BJ medical colllege and Dr Pankaj Shah Director ,Gujarat cancer Research Institute Ahmedabad.On this event the “Indian Forum for Amateur Medical Writers “ was inaugurated. At this moment we want to express the deep sense of gratitude to DR B S Bhatia sir, and Mr A K Sangal sir for making the event successful.
We also want to thank all the authors, editorial members, and specially to Dr Shobhaben Choksi, Dr Varshaben Patel, Dr. Madam Mansuri, Dr Bala, Dr Shital Vyas, Dr Meena Goswami for helping in reviewing and spelling/ grammar check-proof reading .
